As a new and now regular user of Picflow for client collaboration and media delivery, I would like to request support for interactive 360° video playback within galleries. Picflow is an excellent platform for delivering images, videos, proofing workflows, comments, annotations and client approvals. However, when uploading 360° video content, the footage is displayed as a standard flat video rather than an interactive 360° experience.
This limits the usefulness of the platform for creators and businesses producing immersive content.
Currently, my clients must leave the Picflow environment and view 360° footage on a third-party platform such as YouTube, which breaks the otherwise excellent branded client experience.
Functionality support should include playback of industry-standard 360° video formats, including:
• Equirectangular 360° video
• Embedded 360 metadata
• 4K, 5.7K and 8K exports
• DJI Studio exports
• Insta360 exports
• GoPro Max exports
The viewer should allow:
• Click-and-drag navigation
• Mobile gyroscope support
• Full-screen immersive viewing
• Playback controls
• Support for existing comments and review workflows
Additional Enhancement
Enable annotations and comments linked to a specific video timestamp and viewing direction.
This feature would reduce the need for customers to rely on external platforms such as YouTube and help keep the entire review and delivery workflow within the Picflow ecosystem.
