Currently, the example photo that is offered for each website landing page is formatted as a large panoramic. You could consider that as a desirable and dramatic presentation. However, this forces a headshot to be displayed close-up and unretouched (since retouching isn't normally done until selections are made from the gallery). You should offer the photographer the option to display one headshot as a smaller circular image, widely cropped so the subject doesn't have to look at an ultra-sharp unretouched close-up of their face with a bunch of white space on left and right.
