When organizing a gallery into sub-galleries, I could not find an option that allows visitors to browse seamlessly from the first to the last image across all sub-galleries.
Example: I have a gallery with 10 sub-categories. Visitors have to manually and deliberately select 10 different sub-categories in order to view all images.
The alternatives would be either to restructure the gallery differently: instead of using sub-galleries, each of which can be accessed separately, I could use separate sections within one gallery, with headings and text if needed. These would then essentially be displayed as one continuous stream and would no longer be selectable separately.
However, this means losing functionality and design options that sub-galleries provide.
Or, if visitors want to see all photos in one continuous flow, they currently have to download all photos and view them locally, outside the online gallery.
Both are workarounds with disadvantages compared to sub-categories, and neither is a real alternative.
Suggested solution: At the end of each sub-gallery, add an image with a link to the next sub-gallery. The last one could link back to the first.
I also miss having a link at the end of each page (e.g. sub-gallery) that leads back to the top of the page, so visitors do not have to scroll all the way back up manually. That would help a little, in my opinion, to choose another sub-gallery.
