Is there anyway the workflow between lictlow and Lightroom could be improved by somehow making the favourited images or flagged images easily appear back in Lightroom for editing.

I know a plug-in is in the works. But competitors have a csv list that opens the files in Lightroom in a collection. So your favourited pics can be gathered quickly with the list which I believe is just a search string in the library module that finds the images in the list.
